Another side of London in contrast to the all too photogenic attractions, lights and glamour. As his face cannot be seen in this shot, the term 'faceless homeless' springs to mind; one wonders what should be done about this. We were careful not to disturb his slumber, but I think that we were both reminded how lucky we are to have our home comforts. This was shot under Waterloo bridge, again whilst walking along the Thames with Marina.

On another note, I am very aware that I have a lot of emails and comments to which I need to reply. This is something that I promise to address as time permits.

Canon EOS 20D, 50mm, f/1.8, 1/100Sec, ISO 100

Comments:

You see all too much of this in London. All the same, it captures life in our city that most don't get to see and it's a great shot! (Say hi to Marina for me!)

The subject and perspective make this an very interesting photo.

This makes me cry. I am overlyemotional, anyway, but you really capture it enough to stur that in me. That's only something a true photographer can do.

This is very thought provoking. The viewpoint is voyueristic which is probably how most of us look at someone like this. From the corner of our eye as we hurry past, pretending we didn't notice them.

so good. such a "right" way to photograph such a touchy and indeed diffucult subject. this shot is powerful in its sadness and speaks volumes. brilliant.
